Your experience

Arrive at the meeting point in the city centre of Verona and meet the guide, expert of the city. From here you will start exploring the town with a first stop in Piazza Brà and the Arena di Verona, with the small group of travellers. Admire the I century b.C roman 'amphitheatre' architecture from the outside and learn about the old games of gladiators. Today Arena is setting for International Festivals, Music events and the famous lyric Festival. Enjoy a pleasant walk between the lanes to learn about the old town walls and other monuments from Romans times and Middle Ages, reliving the story of the past. After taking some memorable photos of ancient roman ruins or some beautiful squares, you will reach the House and Balcony of Juliet, to remember the famous love stories of old times, Romeo &Juliet, written by William Shakespeare, set right in Verona. Then follow our guide to the central Piazza Erbe before ending the visit and feel really experienced.

“Great guided walk around all the main spots”

Our guide was Fernando. He was very good indeed, friendly, interesting and knowledgeable. He took us on a 2.5hr tour although the time just rushed by. We learnt so much about the place and the buildings and he answered all of our questions. His grasp of the history of Verona was excellent. We even went into to restaurant at one point so he could give us a talk about the local wines with him pointing them out on the shelf. That was a good move as it was in the 'locals' area of Verona and we went back there for lunch. A great way to see the place, he had really interesting places to show us, some I am sure out of the ordinary and was a pleasure to have him guide us.

“Tour with Isabella”

We had the walking tour with Isabella - she was very knowledgeable, but also funny and gave us interesting facts about Verona! Recommend doing this tour as a great way to get the best of Verona in a short space of time, and then look around with a different eye.

“Highlight of our visit”

This has to be one of the best guided tours we have ever taken - and we have been on many! Our tour guide, Irene, was a fine art graduate and artist so her knowledge and passion for this fascinating city was incredible. But what was equally important was her charm and adaptability in answering all our questions and making us feel as if every fact or story had been told to us personally for the first time. By the end of the tour it felt like she was a friend we had known for ages. Thank you so much for the wonderful memories of Verona.
